The No. 3.5 fills a unique gap in our Voyageur series. The standout feature is a transition from the lay-flat corners of the No. 2 and No. 3 to squared off corners. These squared off corners let the bag stand up more easily, and allow for cleaner packing. This also means that the 3.5 has a slightly expanded capacity at 4700 cubic inches as compared to the No. 3's 4500 cubic inches. The 3.5 can fit 2-3 people's belongings.
Like the rest of our canoe packs, the 3.5 is made from a durable 1000 denier nylon treated with a Durable Water Resistant (DWR) coating, this bag is made to last. The bottom has a double layer of fabric that helps the pack stand up to the rocks and roots of Boundary Waters travel. Like all of our bags, the Voyageur Packs have ergonomic straps that curve away from your body to help avoid chafing. The optional waist belt can be excluded for simplicity, or included for more load management and comfort while hiking. You can also decide whether to include a sternum strap and load lifters to the shoulder straps. The sternum strap clips across your chest and can be tightened to keep the straps from sliding outward and impairing the movement of your arms, while load lifters allow for the top of the bag to be pulled up and forward for a more stable center of gravity.
